About Us
Banbury Private Ambulance Service Limited was started in 1986 by Morton and Betty Huckfield with one ambulance moving local people to and from nursing homes and hospital appointment.
Annmarie Warner their daughter started working in the family when she left school on their Special Needs Transport Service for Children to and from school. Marcus Warner married Annmarie in 1995 and joined the family business. Marcus is now the Company Secretary and takes a lead role in the day to day running of the Ambulance Service and Annmarie controls the Special Needs side of the business.
At present we have 12 people working for us either as drivers or attendants they have all enhanced CRB disclosures and are all trained in First Aid skills by South Central Ambulance Service
MORTON HUCKFIELD
DIRECTOR
Morton was a member of the St John's Ambulance Service for twenty years and spotted a gap in the market for a Private Ambulance business. He wanted to offer a more personnal service for the general public. Over the past 23 years he has watched the business grow and now serves the NHS, nursing homes and special needs schools with a modern fleet of ambulances.
BETTY HUCKFIELD
DIRECTOR
Betty and Morton have been married for 51 years and they started the business together 23 years ago. Betty is involved in the day to day decision making and makes sure that all of the laundry is clean and fresh for each Ambulance.
MARCUS WARNER
COMPANY SECRETARY
Marcus met Annmarie in 1993 and they married in 1995, he worked part time for the business and then later became the Company Secretary in 2002. He has been a professional driver for 17 years, bringing a wealth of experience to the Private Ambulance Service. Marcus takes a lead role in the day to day running of the Ambulance Service.
ANNMARIE WARNER
EDUCATIONAL TRANSPORT MANAGER
Annmarie is the daughter of Morton and Betty Huckfield. She started working in the family business, on the Special Needs Team, when she left school. Annmarie now takes a lead role in the running of the Special Needs Transport Service and has been working on the same route for the last 20 years. Annmarie has a wealth of experience dealing with Special Needs Children.
